Social Media Marketing Specialist for Daniel and Rolene Strauss

We’re looking for a social savvy, customer-centric Social Media Marketing Specialist to take our brand to new heights.

Our ideal candidate is someone who lives and breathes social media and content creation, and has an exceptional grasp of long-term strategy and how to best leverage our social media platforms to achieve our goals.

As our Social Media Marketing Specialist, you will be the champion for the brands across all social media platforms – by developing a strategy, producing excellent content, analysing usage data, and managing projects and campaigns.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop creative and engaging social media strategies across Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, YouTube and LinkedIn (as well as any other social media platforms Rolene and D’Niel decides to make use of)
  • Create consistent, relevant content for all platforms – including content writing and artwork.
  • Leverage your proficiency in social media management to act as a subject matter experts for all things related to social marketing, and collaborating with the team to develop the quarterly content strategy.
  • Monitor, track, analyse and report on organic performance on social media platforms on a monthly basis.
  • Analyse campaign results with the aim of yielding better responses / engagement, to ensure we are effectively using these platforms to identify and acquire new customers.
  • Management of the brand website – including any required website updates.
  • Ongoing analysis of market trends.
  • Copywriting for monthly email newsletters.
  • Collaborate across internal and external teams and talent to assure seamless coordination and execution of campaign initiatives.
  • Assist in community management.

The following experience is required for this application:

  • 3-6 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest best practices, tools, and trends on social media platforms. Possesses a good understanding of trending topics and emerging digital technologies.
  • Fluent in English – verbal and written.
  • A natural, authentic story-telling communicator with a genuine love for social media.
  • InDesign, Photoshop or Lightroom experience.
  • Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis.
  • Mac and iPhone knowledge.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated but collaborative.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Proven track record of growing brands social media followers and engagement.

Added bonus:

  • A basic knowledge or skillset in photography would be an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable with video production would be an advantage.
  • Background in Facebook ad creation would be an advantage.
